Research Associate
Marko Avramović (1984) completed his undergraduate and master studies at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, in the Department for Serbian literature and language with general literature. In the same Faculty, he defended his doctoral dissertation "Poetry of Aleksandar Ristović in the context of Serbian poetry of the second half of the twentieth century" in 2019.
Since 2011, he has been permanently employed at the Institute of Literature and Art. He is currently a research associate. Since the beginning of 2020, he has been engaged in the Department of Poetics of Modern and Contemporary Serbian Literature. Since February 2014, he has been the Secretary and a member of the editorial board of literary science journal Literary History..
He deals with literary history and literary criticism. He has participated in several scientific conferences of national and international importance in the country and abroad (Boston, Paris, Ljubljana). He has published about forty scientific studies, critiques and essays in journals and collections of international and national rank.
Several times, he has been awarded for his work. He received an award from the "Radmila Popović" fund for the best graduate work in Serbian literature of the 20th century in the school year 2009/2010, while he received the "Gavrilo Princip" award for the best doctoral dissertation in the field of Serbian language and literature.
Previous projects: Participation in the project "Change of poetic paradigms in Serbian literature of the twentieth century: national and European context (178016)" (2011-2019) funded by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, which was implemented at the Institute of Literature and Art. Besides, Avramović performed the duties of the project secretary in the period 2012-2014. During the project, he participated in the organisation of several scientific conferences of international and national character and the publication of several project publications as a Secretary and a member of the editorial board.
Areas of interest and research: Serbian literature of the twentieth century, history of Serbian poetry, contemporary Serbian poetry and prose.
